1992: 

§ NENDC incorporated

1993: 

§ NENDC Board of Directors began meeting

1994: 

§ NENDC began operations

1995: 

§ Purchased, rehabilitated, and sold bungalow at 1679 Case Avenue utilizing House to Home Program

§ Moved house from E Maryland to 1317 McAfee

1996: 

§ 76 homeowners used the Home Improvement Program

§ Real Estate Equities secured a purchase agreement on Lakewood Apartments and sought NENDC as a development partner

§ Became a police storefront

1997: 

§ 12 homeowners utilized the Home Improvement Program

§ Retaining wall project assembled (video, trade fair, and exhibit)

1998: 

§ 18 homeowners utilized NENDC’s programs

§ Acquired and demolished Lakewood Apartments

§ Facilitated four business loans

1999: 

§ Offices moved to lower level of Dakota Bank

§ Completion of Lake Phalen Town Homes and sale of units

§ 43 rehab loans approved

2000: 

§ Assisted 51 homeowners in the improvement and/or repair of their homes using CDBG funding

2001: 

§ Assisted 25 homeowners in the new and continuing improvement.

§ Demolished Southern Belle

§ NENDC assisted with WBABA and District 2 to acquire vacant lot on White Bear Ave.

§ Acquired Lou’s Market for future development

2002: 

§ Assisted 15 homeowners in home improvements using the City CDGB fund

              2003 

§    Approved plans for Hazel Park Heights

§ Assisted 10 homeowners in home improvements.

2004

    § Acquired 1170 Arcade for future development.

    § Assisted homeowners in home improvements.

    § Began pre-sales on Hazel Park Heights, a 27 unit                    condominium complex to be built at the Lou’s Market site.
